Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the successful technical delivery of defence projects. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence and strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes change control, quality, and regulatory compliance within a high-safety environment. Applicants should have an engineering degree with Chartered status desirable, and a proven track record of leading complex engineering

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards registration desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering delivery teams.
• Lead technical direction, solution development and delivery within the account.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure engineers understand project requirements, methods and processes.
• Lead Change Control activities across projects.
• Own technical quality and ensure contractual and client requirements are met.
• Act as primary technical contact for stakeholders.
• Report on technical status, risks and performance of projects.
• Ensure compliance with technical, quality and regulatory standards (QMS).
• Support business growth by developing technical proposals and solutions.
