Mechanical Stress Engineer - Defence Sector
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Stress Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. The successful candidate will conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions
- Estimate, plan, lead, and deliver structural analysis work packages using classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
- Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports, conveying complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management
- Develop and improve methods, processes, and tools proactively
- Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional growth
- Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to network, influence, and manage stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline or significant experience in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis)
- Proven experience in structural analysis work packages
- Proficiency in classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
- Strong skills in preparing and presenting technical reports
- Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes, and tools
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
