Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence division is recruiting an ambitious Chef on a full-time basis contracted to 35 hours per week to prepare and serve high-quality food for Defence clients across Scotland. As a Chef you will oversee menu changes, supervise a team, monitor inventories and hygiene, and ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and safety regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Have experience supervising a team.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
