Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an ambitious Chef to support Defence with high-quality food service on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). You’ll prepare and serve excellent food, lead menu changes, manage inventories, and uphold hygiene standards while representing Defence with pride.

You’ll be supported to grow within a market-leading UK food service company, with benefits and development pathways for dedicated professionals.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Experience supervising a team and in a similar chef role.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and food concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain brand image.
• Monitor inventories for well-stocked kitchens.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
