Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Defence Security Controller to provide expert security leadership across major Defence projects in the Preston area. You will oversee security oversight of project lifecycles, handling HMG classification, cyber security, and regulated assets in line with MOD requirements.

Qualifications

• Current membership of the Security Institute is essential.
• Proven experience in Defence, uniformed services, or custodial environments is required.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Security Controller for MM Defence programmes, providing security assurance.
• Manage and review security controls to protect sensitive assets per policy requirements.
• Oversee development and maintenance of Security Management Plans and Project Security Strategies.
• Serve as Defence IT Security Officer for assigned programmes and handle DPIA submissions.
• Maintain Defence Security Risk Register and support security audits and investigations.
