Mace, a leading defence-focused contractor, seeks an Operations Director - Project Controls in Preston. You will lead PMO and Project Controls across complex defence programmes, delivering governance, risk management and performance insights. UK Security Clearance eligibility is required for this major long-term programme.

You will mentor project teams, develop integrated controls methodologies and promote digital reporting. The role supports hybrid working and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience delivering PMO and Project Controls on major infrastructure, defence or complex transformation programmes.
• Experience developing and implementing Project Controls strategies, governance frameworks and integrated controls methodologies.
• Expert knowledge of Project Controls tools such as Primavera P6, Risk Hive, Primavera Risk Analysis, Power BI.

Responsabilités

• Managing the delivery and performance of PMO and Project Controls services across major programmes and projects.
• Ensuring alignment with industry best practice and international standards.
• Providing governance, risk and performance management oversight across planning and reporting functions.
• Mentoring and developing Project Controls teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Supporting business growth through bid activities and client engagement.
