Job summary

Rubrik in the United Kingdom is seeking a Defence Sales Engineer to join the Sales Engineering team, serving UK defence customers and partners. You will own the technical narrative and demonstrate how Rubrik's data protection, cyber resilience and recovery solutions address mission-critical needs.

You'll collaborate with a Defence Account Executive to build account plans across MOD, armed forces and defence partners, run technical discovery, demos and POCs, and translate security requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales engineering, solutions architecture or technical pre-sales role in infra, data protection or security.
• Solid grounding in infrastructure and security, including backup/recovery, cyber resilience, cloud (Azure and/or AWS) and enterprise data centres.
• Track record of running technical discovery, demos and POCs with multiple customer conversations and fast follow-up.
• Confidence engaging hands-on technical teams and senior stakeholders, framing tech around business outcomes.
• Drive to build pipeline in a long-cycle, relationship-led market and resilience to complex deals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Defence Account Executive to build and run account plans across the MOD, armed forces and defence community.
• Lead technical discovery and whiteboarding sessions to translate customer risks into business cases for technical teams and stakeholders.
• Architect and demonstrate Rubrik's Data Resilience, Observability and Remediation solutions for defence organisations.
• Run proofs of concept from scoping to success criteria to build customer confidence.
• Generate pipeline with AE across new prospects and existing accounts, identifying white space and expansion opportunities.
• Qualify opportunities on technical requirements, competition, decision-making and funding.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers and partners, sharing field learnings with Product and Sales Enablement.
• Grow with the team by learning from experienced SEs and building expertise in Rubrik's security platform.
