Job summary

RTX Corporation seeks a Safety & Environmental Lead Engineer to deliver Safety & Environmental activities across the FJCAST training solutions. You will prepare and maintain the Safety and Environmental Management Plan and coordinate safety inputs for design, delivery and in-service support, working within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

You will lead hazard analyses, environmental screening, and the development of safety cases, contributing to bids and compliance with Def Stan standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety and environmental management within the defence domain.
• Ability to develop and maintain Safety and Environmental Cases.
• Knowledge of safety standards and design/implementation techniques for safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Safety and Environmental Management Plan.
• Support Hazard Identification and Hazard Analyses.
• Develop Hazard Logs and Environmental Feature Matrices.
• Provide safety and environmental input to project and design reviews.
• Audit safety and environmental activities and visits to training facilities.
• Support bid and proposal activities with safety/environmental estimates.
