Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Safety & Environmental Lead Engineer to deliver Safety & Environmental activities across the FJCAST service deliverables, reporting to the Service Delivery Manager. You will help implement the Safety & Environmental Management Plan and coordinate safety activities during design, delivery and in-service support of training solutions.

Qualifications

• System safety and environmental experience within the defence domain.
• Experience with Def Stan 00-056, 00-055, 00-051 or equivalent standards.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Safety and Environmental Management Plan.
• Support Hazard Identification and Hazard Analyses.
• Support Environmental Impact Screening and Scoping.
• Develop Hazard Logs and Environmental Features Matrices.
• Prepare and maintain Safety and Environmental Cases.
• Develop artefacts to support the Safety and Environmental Case.
• Provide safety and environmental input to reviews and bid activities.
• Coordinate audits and safety/environmental assurance across facilities.
