Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Chief Engineer for the Future Joint Command and Staff Trainer (FJCAST) programme. You will provide technical direction, governance, and solution integrity to deliver secure, interoperable, data-driven training capabilities across UK Defence and allied partners.

You will own the programme's technical architecture, lead LVC integration, ensure compliance with Defence standards, and mentor engineering teams to sustain cutting-edge simulation and data-exploitation

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership in complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.
• Proven ability to govern architecture, risk, and technical reviews.
• Experience with Defence, government, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the programme's technical architecture, engineering strategy, and roadmap.
• Lead systems integration across simulation platforms and C2, ensuring coherent end-to-end training ecosystems.
• Establish and maintain engineering governance, assurance, and configuration management.
