Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Operations Manager for Warminster, Wiltshire, offering hybrid working and a 37-hour week. The role leads delivery across the Mowag Programme, ensuring teams have the people, tools, systems and processes to safely deliver high-quality results.

You will drive performance, support continuous improvement and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently. SC security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in an operational environment.
• Strong communication skills for senior site level engagements.
• Understanding of workforce development, training needs and skills planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of operational outputs while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability.
• Manage operational systems, reporting activities, and fleet management processes.
• Ensure work areas, tools and equipment meet safety and quality requirements.
• Build relationships with customers, workshop teams, planners and support functions to deliver the programme.
