Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Operations Manager in Warminster to lead the operational delivery of outputs across the Mowag Programme, ensuring teams have the people, tools, systems, and processes to deliver high-quality results.

You will drive performance, support continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while upholding safety and quality standards in a hybrid, 37-hour week role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders across an operational environment.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at senior site level.
• Understanding of workforce development, training needs, and skills planning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions to deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies, procedures, and implementation within an operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of operational outputs while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build capability and support future business needs.
• Manage operational systems, reporting activities, and fleet management processes to support effective planning and decision-making.
• Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment remain compliant with safety and quality requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, workshop teams, planners, and support functions to achieve successful programme delivery.
