Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Programme Manager for its Ashton House, near Bristol, with hybrid working. You will lead a high‑profile defence programme, mobilising teams and delivering complex engineering solutions to support national security and future growth.

You will work within the Mission Systems business, guiding senior stakeholders, driving performance, and shaping ways of working in a globally recognised organisation committed to lifetime engineering and flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large‑scale engineering/technology programmes (£75m+).
• Strong project and programme management across mobilisation, delivery and service integration.
• Proven ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks in complex environments.
• Commercial awareness and experience with high‑value programmes.
• Capable of building, leading and developing high‑performing teams and engaging senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to mobilise and deliver complex programmes.
• Manage delivery of large engineering/technology contracts for MoD and commercial clients.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure confidence and success.
• Drive programme performance, risk management, financial objectives and delivery commitments.
• Develop high‑performing teams to support programme delivery and growth.
