Job summary

United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) is seeking a Defence PIE Technician on shifts to join the Defence PIE team, supporting post-irradiation examination of nuclear fuel and related activities within high-active facilities.

You will collect data from irradiated fuel tests, develop measurement techniques, and operate remote handling equipment to produce critical data for national programmes. A practical mindset and troubleshooting ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on dexterity in industrial settings.
• Experience in industrial environments with on-time delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated with initiative.
• Experience deploying specially designed equipment in multidisciplinary teams.
• Meticulous attention to procedures and practices.
• Committed to high technical quality standards.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance with UK residency.
• British citizen or eligible for security clearance.
