Job summary

Babcock International Group offers a Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme based at HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland. Starting September 2027, you will rotate through placements every 3–6 months, gaining exposure across engineering lifecycle stages from design to in-service support and decommissioning.

The programme includes structured training, mentorship, and support toward Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, with a starting salary of £35,000 and opportunities to engage in STEM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Structural/Materials/Mechatronics or related field is required.
• Security clearance restrictions apply (BPSS and SC) and UK nationality may be required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through placements every 3–6 months over two years to gain diverse experience.
• Contribute to mechanical design reviews, stress analyses and integration of mechanical systems.
• Support lifecycle stages from concept to commissioning and decommissioning.
