Job summary

Babcock, Rosyth, near Dunfermline, Fife, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on defence infrastructure projects valued from £5 million to £100 million+. The role offers hybrid working after an initial on-site probation period, with three days on-site per week and flexibility for remote work.

You will manage project costs, budgets and forecasts, administer NEC4 contracts, and provide risk management and commercial guidance to project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Experience managing project costs, budgets, forecasting and financial reporting across the project lifecycle.
• Strong NEC contract administration experience, including compensation events, early warnings, change control and payment applications.
• Experience managing commercial risk, contractor performance and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience supporting medium to large-scale construction projects, ideally valued between £5 million and £100 million

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial and financial performance of construction and infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Administering NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings, change control and payment applications.
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, cost reports and financial performance reviews.
• Providing commercial advice and risk management support to project teams and key stakeholders.
• Supporting procurement activities while building strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and client representatives.
