Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Rosyth, near Dunfermline, Fife. You will lead commercial and financial performance on major defence infrastructure projects valued £5m–£100m+, administering NEC4 contracts and driving cost reporting and procurement activities.

The role offers hybrid working with an on-site base, a clear path to progression, and opportunities to influence critical defence programmes. Requires SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience with NEC4 contracts and compensation events.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial performance across projects.
• Administer NEC4 contracts including compensation events, early warnings, change control and payment applications.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Provide commercial advice and risk management to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities and relationships with contractors and client representatives.
