Role Overview

The Defence Head of Security & Resilience (UK-MEA) is responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating security & resilience policies, controls, and assurance activities across the Defence Business, UK-MEA, aligned with the strategic direction set by the VP of Corporate & Defence Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and enforce security policies across all UK-MEA facilities and Defence projects, in accordance with 'The FRAMEWORK' and customer regulations, covering BC planning, data security, physical security, personnel security, and supply chain security.
  • Manage the Rolls-Royce Defence Bristol Security Team.
  • Promote security awareness and training programs to foster a positive security culture.
  • Support investigations related to security incidents involving products and supply chains.
  • Implement and monitor supply chain security assurance programs.
  • Manage security risk controls and mitigation strategies for Defence programs.
  • Act as Security Controller for the UK Defence Business, overseeing personnel security and insider threat programs.
  • Represent the company at security meetings with government, MoD, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of security policies and Business Continuity processes.
  • Oversee security personnel and programs across UK-MEA facilities.
Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant security experience.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role providing high-level advice and risk solutions.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing security within strategic, classified UK/US MoD programs.
  • MOD security training and experience are desirable.
  • Extensive incident management experience in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of resilience, risk management, standards, and governance.
  • Experience with electronic and technical security is a plus.
  • Physical ability to move around large facilities.
  • UKSV DV clearance is required.
