Role Overview

The Defence Head of Security & Resilience (UK-MEA) is responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating security & resilience policies, controls, and assurance activities across the Defence Business, UK-MEA, aligning with the strategic direction set by the VP of Corporate & Defence Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and enforce security policies across all UK-MEA facilities and projects, including BC planning, data security, physical security, personnel security, and supply chain security.
  • Manage the Rolls-Royce Defence Bristol Security Team.
  • Promote security awareness through training and education programs.
  • Support investigations related to security incidents involving products and supply chains.
  • Implement and monitor supply chain security assurance programs.
  • Manage personnel security, vetting, and insider threat programs.
  • Represent the company at security meetings with government and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and enforce security and resilience policies, including Business Continuity.
  • Oversee security personnel and programs across UK-MEA facilities.
Candidate Profile

We value safety, integrity, simplicity, and making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent security experience.
  • At least 5 years in leadership roles providing risk-based advice.
  • Minimum 10 years security management experience within UK/US MoD programs.
  • MOD security training and experience preferred.
  • Strong incident management skills in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of resilience, risk management, standards, and governance.
  • Experience with electronic and technical security is desirable.
  • Physical fitness to navigate large facilities.
  • UKSV DV security clearance required.
