Job summary

QinetiQ is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, qualify and win new business across its hardware product portfolio, including PNT and GNSS products, across the UK and international markets.

The role requires building a strong pipeline, engaging with customer communities such as MOD and DE&S, and coordinating with Capture, Engineering and Product teams to shape opportunities toward orders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of business development, sales or capture in defence, national security or related market.
• Track record of identifying, qualifying and winning new business and building a pipeline.
• Experience in international and export business development with relevant contacts.
• Desirable: experience in PNT, navigation, sensors, or a similar hardware portfolio.
• Desirable: knowledge of MOD, DE&S, NATO and export routes.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and progress new opportunities across portfolio and regions.
• Build and maintain relationships across the customer sphere including MOD and DE&S.
• Develop business through international sales routes, aligning with export control requirements.
• Provide accurate forecasts and maintain pipeline data in CRM.
• Collaborate with Capture, Engineering, Product and Marketing across pursuits.
• Contribute to governance and pricing strategies to improve win probability.
