Job summary

Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services) is seeking a Civilian Medical Practitioner to join the Benson/Abingdon area, delivering primary and occupational healthcare to entitled personnel in line with GMC standards. The base location will be Abingdon, with time split between Benson and Abingdon sites to support service delivery.

The post is full-time (37 hours per week) with potential job-sharing consideration.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Registered on the GMC GP Register.
• Current/recent clinical experience within Occupational Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide general healthcare to registered patients during normal practice hours.
• Provide primary care emergency treatment as required and undertake occupational healthcare duties.
• Support clinical governance, audits and incident reporting as part of routine duties.
• Liaise with the Practice Manager on service administration and manage related tasks.
