Job summary

VIVO Defence Services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. The role focuses on providing expert commercial support across a varied portfolio of facilities management, maintenance and construction projects for the Defence estate, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

You will be involved in cost planning, pricing, forecasting and robust commercial controls, working with project managers, operations and supply chain partners to deliver value for

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and commercial management
• Experience with contract administration and cost control throughout project lifecycles
• Experience on facilities management or construction projects, including multiple concurrent works
• Knowledge of Defence, MOD or regulated environments is advantageous
• Evidence of CPD and professional body membership is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial advice across the project lifecycle, including cost planning, pricing and forecasting
• Manage change control, review contract performance and assist with risk management activities
• Support monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting across Core Services and Billable Works
• Monitor supplier performance, manage commercial queries and milestone payments
• Attend commercial and risk meetings and support dispute avoidance and value-for-money delivery
