Job summary

4Front Recruitment is assisting a Bristol-based contractor in recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for Defence construction projects. The role involves supporting commercial delivery from pre-contract through final account, with hybrid working in the Bristol area.

The ideal candidate will have around 4 years of experience in a commercial role, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and a solid understanding of construction commercial processes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Around 4 years’ experience in a commercial department.
• Good understanding of construction commercial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Collaborative approach engaging with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
• Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments.
• Support change control, variations, and cost recovery.
• Work with project teams to manage risk and maximise value.
• Ensure compliance with contract and commercial procedures.
• Contribute to successful commercial delivery of defence projects.
