Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for a major defence infrastructure programme. You will lead commercial activities across the contract lifecycle, manage NEC4 contracts, and ensure robust governance while working within a highly regulated environment.

This 52-week hybrid role requires SC clearance eligibility, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and the ability to drive value while monitoring costs and risks on a complex

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on major infrastructure, defence, nuclear or other highly regulated projects.
• Extensive working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, ideally including the Professional Services Contract (PSC).
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing change, risk and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of major engineering and infrastructure contracts.
• Administer NEC4 contracts, with a particular focus on NEC4 Professional Services Contract (PSC).
• Manage compensation events, change control and contractual correspondence.
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure commercial governance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
