Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Commercial Manager for the Chatham site to support the Royal School of Military Engineering contract. The role involves governance, risk management and driving commercial excellence within a high-profile defence training programme.

You will build relationships with customers and internal teams, contribute to bids and commercial negotiations, and ensure compliant contract delivery across a 37-hour week with hybrid work three days onsite and two at home.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience and impact.
• Security clearance (SC) must be obtainable and maintained.
• Proven experience in governance, risk, and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to ensure delivery of the Royal School of Military Engineering contract.
• Manage commercial risks, opportunities, contract changes, variations and obligations.
• Support governance activities, contract audits, approvals and compliance.
• Build relationships with operational teams, customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and new business opportunities across the Training Business Unit.
