Job summary

Aramark UK at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, is seeking a Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver high-quality meals in a Defence environment. The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) with a pay rate of £13.05 per hour.

You will prepare meals, coach staff, manage stock, and ensure food safety while upholding Aramark's standards. Excellent teamwork and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with minimal wastage.
• Deliver fine dining for functions and hospitality events.
• Coach new team members on kitchen standards and procedures.
• Follow recipe cards and maintain food quality.
• Assist with stock checks, food orders, and kitchen records.
• Monitor temperatures and complete due diligence paperwork.
• Help with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
