Aramark UK is recruiting a Chef to join the team at Vimy ITC, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3LS. This busy military catering environment requires a passionate culinary professional to prepare high-quality meals and support the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and food safety standards, including HACCP principles.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience within a high-volume catering environment is desirable.
• Passion for food and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Supporting fine dining and special event catering when required.
• Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
• Working collaboratively as part of a talented kitchen team.
• Supporting and mentoring new colleagues where appropriate.
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and maintaining accurate kitchen records.
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
• Completing due diligence documentation and supporting kitchen compliance procedures.
• Assisting with deep cleaning schedules and maintaining a safe, organised working environment.
