Job summary

Helsing in London is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive end-to-end delivery of software-intensive capabilities. You will own the full V-cycle from requirements to release, collaborating daily with software architects, AI engineers, and hardware developers to ensure system-level coherence.

You should have experience delivering software-enabled products for defense or government customers, strong system-level testing, and the ability to communicate with customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

• UK MoD or equivalent client delivery experience.
• Full V-cycle experience with emphasis on software.
• Ability to plan and conduct system-level testing and root-cause analysis.
• Comfortable engaging with customer stakeholders and travel within UK.
• Active UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive systems engineering across the V-cycle, with emphasis on software systems.
• Plan and execute system-level testing and analyse complex test data.
• Collaborate daily with software architects, hardware developers and AI engineers to maintain interface coherence.
• Serve as a technical touchpoint for customer stakeholders and participate in reviews.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and verification evidence.
