RTX is seeking a data science/ML professional to contribute to AI solutions for defence projects. The role involves developing data-centric ML solutions, delivering end-to-end from scoping to delivery, and collaborating with customers and internal teams. You will work with senior colleagues to define approaches and produce high-quality technical outputs.

Hybrid working across Gloucester, Manchester or London with on-site collaboration. Clearances (SC/eDV) are required or obtainable on start.

Qualifications

• BSc in Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
• Experience coding in Python with ML packages (HuggingFace, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience delivering ML solutions to stakeholders.
• Understanding of AI/ML algorithms for Generative AI, NLP and computer vision.
• Experience training AI models including Large Language Models.
• Ability to produce scientific writing for publication.
• Autonomous problem solving and proactive work style.
• Ability to work with technical leaders and project teams.
