Pinnacle Group is recruiting a dedicated School Cleaner to work at Ravenshall Primary School in Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury. You will join our Total FM Cleaning Team to keep facilities clean to a high standard during term time and holidays.

The role involves cleaning toilets and classrooms, damp-wiping surfaces, vacuuming floors, waste handling and periodic deep cleans. DBS check is required and full training will be provided; additional benefits include sick pay, pension, and annual leave.

Qualifications

The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals, including COSHH.
Cleaning experience in a school environment would be preferred; however, full training will be given.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to meet the child safeguarding regulations, plus satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and replenish all consumable dispensers.
Cleaning classrooms; Damp-wipe tables, legs, chairs, desks and hard surfaces, including window sills and skirting boards.
Cleaning of internal glazing.
Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting.
To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces.
Sweeping and mopping floors.
Periodic deep cleaning during specified school holidays.
To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
To ensure the correct collection, storage, and removal of waste/rubbish from the work area to the collection point.

Job description

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner (including school holidays) to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. You will be joining our Total FM Cleaning Team based at Ravenshall Primary School in Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury WF12. Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently - helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone. Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. You will be working with a team of school cleaners for 12 ½ hours per week – Monday to Friday, 3.30pm - 6pm term time, then you work your 12 ½ hr between 8am - 4pm during the school holidays.
