Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Caretaker for a well-established secondary school in Northamptonshire. This full-time, permanent role starts as soon as possible and focuses on keeping the premises safe, secure, clean and well-maintained.

You will work with the site team and SLT to support day-to-day operations and contribute to a positive environment for students and staff, drawing on practical maintenance skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance experience (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and well-presented school site.
• Work with the site team and senior leadership to support daily operations.
