Job summary

Value Education LTD is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools across the Manchester area, starting September 2026. Roles involve assisting the Class Teacher, supporting groups and 1:1 work, with flexible age groups and hours (Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30).

Candidates should be passionate about education, able to support children with SEN, and adapt lesson plans to individual needs. Temp-to-perm opportunities may arise.

Qualifications

• Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and staff.
• Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently.
• Experience working with additional needs in a school setting (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead.
• Assist with group activities.
• Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis.
• Provide additional support to children with a range of SEN needs.
• Tailor lesson plans to individual needs.
• Work inside and outside the classroom.
• Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate.
