Job summary

Dounreay Fast Reactor (DFR) is seeking a Project Supervisor to oversee the safe delivery of physical work at the DFR site. The role focuses on supervising SQEP personnel performing routine safety, compliance, and decommissioning tasks within a controlled operating envelope.

The successful candidate will bring proven industrial experience, strong planning skills, and an ability to lead a collaborative team in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance throughout the project

Qualifications

• Strong industrial experience with a solid understanding of work control processes and safe systems of work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safe, compliant project activities and monitor contractor performance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, support scheduling, hazard reviews and project reporting.
• Review safe systems of work and ensure adherence to the safety case and operating envelope.
• Perform line management and appointment of key safety roles (e.g., Permit Issuer, Risk Assessor).
