Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to support the Centre for Carbon Transition, advising on energy transition and decarbonization. You will work with London and New York teams and interface with clients to build transition expertise.

The role emphasizes quantitative carbon analytics, stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the bank's net-zero portfolio strategy for 2050. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, energy/environmental economics, sustainability.
• 1–3 years of energy/decabonization/sustainability/climate experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel and large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and self-starter mindset.
• Demonstrated interest in energy, climate and decarbonization themes.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of the Firm's strategy to align financing portfolio with net zero emissions by 2050
• Evaluate clients' transition strategies and credibility of decarbonization plans
• Support and own elements of quantitative client and portfolio carbon analytics, assessing carbon performance at both the individual transaction level and across industry portfolios
• Translate quantitative and qualitative outputs into executive-ready recommendations for stakeholder engagement and senior forums
• Support external engagement and events
