James Andrews Recruitment is seeking a Decarbonisation Surveyor for a site-based role in the Rhondda Valley, starting immediately on a temporary basis until April 2027. The role focuses on post-inspections, QA, contractor oversight and project delivery to ensure decarbonisation works meet required standards and benefit residents.

Working hours are 37 per week with flexible daily hours. The role covers Solar PV, insulation, low-carbon heating upgrades and energy efficiency improvements,

Qualifications

• Experience surveying within social housing, planned works, retrofit, or decarbonisation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV, insulation measures, low-carbon heating systems, and energy efficiency improvements.
• Experience undertaking post-inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Ability to manage contractors and oversee project delivery on site.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilités

• Undertaking post-inspections of completed retrofit and decarbonisation works
• Monitoring contractor performance, quality, compliance, and programme delivery
• Overseeing the installation of Solar PV systems, Air Source Heat Pumps, EWI, and LED lighting upgrades
• Managing and monitoring minor works from delivery through to completion
• Ensuring works comply with PAS 2035, regulations and client standards
• Producing technical reports and inspection findings
• Working with Residents Engagement Officer to inform and support residents
• Attending site meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
