Job summary

Multax Ltd in Andover is seeking a meticulous Deburrer/Finishing Operative to join our manufacturing team. You will finish machined parts using hand tools, verify dimensions and ensure surfaces meet quality standards.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, coordinate with Inspection and Team Leaders, and maintain a clean, safe work area during night shifts. The role offers a competitive hourly rate with night shift premium, 25 days holiday, private medical insurance, death in service

Responsibilities

• Deburr and finish machined components using hand tools.
• Polish and refine components to meet specs and quality.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for accurate finishing.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Take basic measurements and carry out minor repairs as needed.
• Plan and manage workload, reporting issues or downtime.

The Role

As a deburrer/Finishing Operative you’ll be a vital part of our manufacturing process, responsible for:

• Deburr and finish machined components using hand tools such as Dremel’s, scrapers, files, polishing wheels and wet/dry paper.
• Polish and refine components to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate finishing.
• Liaise with Inspection and Team Leaders to prioritize daily tasks and rework.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Take basic measurements and carry out minor repairs as instructed.
• Plan and manage your workload, reporting any issues or downtime.

The Package

• Shift: Night Shift Monday-Thursday 18.00pm -04.30am
• Competitive Salary: £19.33ph (includes night shift premium rate of x 1.333)
