Position: CNC Machinist

Company: Multax Ltd

Shift: Monday- Thursday 6pm -04.30am

Location: Andover, Hampshire

The Role:

As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be a vital part of our manufacturing process, responsible for:

• Setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and work‑holding methods.
• Ensuring a “Right First Time” approach to all tasks.
• Collaborating with the quality team to ensure part conformity and traceability.
• Communicating equipment needs with team leaders and managers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience with Heidenhain and/or Fanuc systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Skilled in using measuring tools (e.g., Vernier callipers, bore micrometres).
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of metallic materials.
• CAD/CAM experience (Hypermill training available).
