Job summary

MTS Staffing Ltd in Alcester is seeking a Metal Finisher/Polisher for a busy manufacturing site. The role focuses on linishing, polishing, grinding and deburring rather than traditional sheet metal fabrication.

You will join a team on a 4-day week, working Monday to Thursday from 4:30pm to 2:30am with a permanent opportunity and full training provided where required. Attention to detail and practical hands-on experience are essential.

• Experience with metal finishing, linishing, polishing, deburring, grinding or sheet metal work.
• Comfortable reading drawings and specifications.
• Able to work to high quality standards and safety procedures.

Job Description:

Metal Finisher / Polisher - 4 Day Week

Location: Alcester

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm - 2:30am

Working Pattern: 4 days per week

Salary: £16.75 per hour (With scope to increase with training)

We are currently recruiting for a Metal Finisher / Polisher to join a busy manufacturing environment in Alcester.

This is a hands-on role working with sheet metal components, with the main focus being on linishing, polishing, grinding and deburring rather than traditional sheet metal fabrication.

The Role

As a Metal Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard before they move through the manufacturing process.

Your duties will include:

• Linishing and polishing metal components
• Deburring and removing sharp edges
• Grinding and finishing components
• Removing imperfections and preparing surfaces
• Using hand tools and finishing equipment
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet the required standard
• Working from drawings and specifications where required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following company health & safety procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience working with metal and be comfortable carrying out detailed finishing work.

Previous experience in metal finishing, linishing, polishing, deburring, grinding or sheet metal work would be highly advantageous.
