Transdev in Poole is seeking a finisher/deburrer for a busy, day-shift role in a fast-paced machine shop. You will work with aluminium, mild and stainless steel, and composites, using hand tools with great attention to detail.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week Mon-Thu 8.30am-5pm and a Friday finish at 2pm, with free parking, uniform, and a company pension. GCSE or equivalent is required along with at least 1 year of similar experience and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of similar finishing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Job Description:

We are looking for a finisher/deburrer to join a busy, fast-paced machine shop based in the Hamworthy Poole area on a standard dayshift. This role requires strong attention to detail, competency using hand tools working with a range of materials such as Aluminium, Mild steel, Stainless steel & various composites.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensuring the finishing department is maintaining a high level of throughput to meet customer demand.
• Finding the most efficient method to deburr/finish components whilst meeting expectation of quality.
• Remain flexible to assist across multiple finishing disciplines.
• Follow company health & safety procedures.

Hours/Shifts:

Day Shift 8.30am-5pm Mon-Thu. Early finish at 2pm Fridays.

Holiday:

1.66 days holiday per complete calendar month worked for the first year (maximum 20 days per 1st full year), rising 1 day per year to a max 25 days after 5 years continuous service. Birthday day off (subject to conditions).
