Clacton-on-Sea law firm seeks an early-career Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to join a busy team focused on debt recovery and litigation. The role offers ownership of matters, direct guidance from leadership, and opportunities to contribute as the firm grows.

The role includes handling high-volume debt recovery and insurer-related litigation, with potential involvement in possession and landlord/tenant work as the firm expands. A supportive, close-knit environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil litigation, particularly debt recovery.
• Ability to prepare and progress claims, court documents, statements and bundles.
• Willingness to manage own workload and advise clients clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage debt recovery claims from instruction to resolution.
• Prepare and progress court claims and documents.
• Handle litigation from insurer referrals and larger claims.
• Prepare witness statements and hearing bundles for court.
• Manage case progression, deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Attend hearings and develop advocacy experience where appropriate.
• Advise clients with clear, practical updates throughout matters.
• Support the wider team, mentoring paralegals and apprentices.
