About the Role:

The Deals Tax team collaborates with the broader Corporate Tax network to advise on tax implications for projects like Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit, and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Specializing in infrastructure and new energy markets, the Energy & Infrastructure sub-team provides transaction services to major funds and investors. This role offers career development and involves working on high-profile transactions in sectors such as utilities and renewable energy.

You'll act as a strategic consultant, helping clients structure deals to meet objectives while managing tax obligations, collaborating with stakeholders and PwC teams globally to deliver comprehensive solutions.

What your days will look like:

• Perform Tax Due Diligence reviews involving existing and potential tax issues, compliance, and risks for clients wishing to sell or acquire businesses; articulate the impact and advise on risk management.
• Provide Tax Structuring advice for tax-efficient business operations, including acquisition and disposal strategies and implications of withholding tax, corporation tax, and payroll taxes.
• Review key tax assumptions within financial models to aid clients in making informed decisions and shaping strategies.
• Assist with pre and post deal services, including restructuring and new tax planning ideas.
• Support business development initiatives such as client proposals, market updates, and technical workshops.

This role is for you if:

• You possess an ACA/CTA Qualification (or equivalent) or have relevant work experience, including international candidates qualifying through experience.
• You have experience building relationships and networks.
• You can plan and deliver work under tight deadlines.
• You have strong communication skills, especially in negotiation and influence.
• You can handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• You are familiar with Tax Due Diligence, Vendor Assistance, Tax Structuring, and Tax Modelling.
• You understand funds flow, management tax planning, and sale & purchase review services.
• You have experience with post-deal services and transaction tax advice.
