Job summary

EY-Parthenon in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Director (Senior Manager) in Technology M&A, Deal Technology - Strategy and Execution. You will lead and contribute to pre- and post-deal engagements, manage blended teams, assist origination, and advise senior decision makers on IT aspects of transactions.

You will assess readiness, identify risks, and develop skills through coaching while contributing to staff development and recruitment.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, Information technology or related subjects.
• Experience of transactions, ideally in IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments.
• Broad knowledge and deep understanding of IT domains including Enterprise Architecture, IT Operating Model, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and App Development, IT Service Delivery, IT Infrastructure, IT Financials and Data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Programme and Project Management expertise with delivery of successful programmes.
• Strong communicator (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations.
• Analytical mindset and ability to provide insights on IT aspects of transactions.
• Strong team leadership skills with diverse teams and developing juniors.
• Adept at building relationships with senior clients and influencing key decision makers.
• Flexible with working locations and ability to learn quickly in new situations.
• Knowledge of structured methodologies and familiarity with ITIL, SDLC and COBIT.

Responsibilities

• Leading and/or contributing to pre deal, post deal, separation and integration engagements with clients across the UKI.
• Manage blended project teams comprising colleagues from transactions and advisory practices.
• Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, with EY Parthenon teams.
• Work on client engagement teams advising and supporting decision makers in transactions.
• Assess client's readiness across people, resources, planning, data collection and strategy.
• Learn and develop technical and personal skills through structured learning and coaching.
• Contribute to people initiatives, recruiting, retaining and training staff.
