Senovo Newham is seeking a Deaf Support Teaching Assistant to help deaf pupils access the curriculum in a supportive SEN environment in Newham, United Kingdom. The role involves reinforcing instructions using visual communication and ensuring access to lessons and routines within a busy classroom.

Experience with deaf pupils is preferred; BSL skills are welcomed but not essential, and QTS is not required for this classroom-support position.

Formación

• Experience supporting deaf pupils or learners with communication needs.
• British Sign Language skills welcomed but not essential.
• QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.
• Experience in SEN settings is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Reinforce instructions using clear visual and communication strategies.
• Support access to lesson content, group work and school routines.
• Check hearing-support equipment in line with agreed procedures.
• Share observations with teachers and specialist colleagues.
