Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Direct Care Worker to provide assistance with activities of daily living for clients in Dover, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities include helping with ambulation, nutrition, household tasks, infection control, and medication reminders under the care plan, while maintaining confidentiality and promoting independent living.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English is required.
• Direct Care Worker Competency orientation completed.
• Current CPR card required.
• Health screening per state regulations.
• PAS A competency evaluation meeting state requirements is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with ambulation as applicable.
• Support nutritional and dietary needs.
• Perform essential household duties.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for the consumer.
• Apply basic infection control techniques.
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
• Maintain consumer confidentiality.
• Encourage independence and consumer control.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to assigned consumers including, but not limited to the following:
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Assisting with ambulation, as applicable
• Assistance with nutritional and dietary needs
• Essential household duties
• Provide for safe and sanitary consumer environment
• Utilize basic infection control technique and procedures
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan
• Maintain consumer confidentiality
• Encourage consumer control of and promote the independent living philosophy

Requirements

• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency orientation process required
• Current CPR Card required
• Current Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations) required
• Successful completion of PASA competency evaluation which meets the requirements of the state is required
