Job summary

Clarks Distribution Centre in Somerset is seeking an experienced DC Manager to coach and lead a high-performing team of operatives, ensuring KPI targets are met within a safety-first culture. You will manage performance, training and attendance, while driving Six Sigma initiatives and liaising with unions as required.

You will hold Level 3 Apprenticeship, IOSH, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication and budget management skills, with hands-on IT proficiency

Qualifications

• Level 3 Apprenticeship, IOSH trained and Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
• Experience leading a DC/ warehouse team and liaising with unions.
• Strong communication, budgeting and performance improvement skills.
• Proficient with High Jump, Excel and MS Office tools.
• Ability to implement Six Sigma initiatives and safety procedures.
• Experience in a unionised environment and shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and lead a DC team to achieve KPIs and targets.
• Review performance and maintain development plans (Academy Level 3).
• Manage employee relations with adherence to policies and union engagement.
• Drive Six Sigma initiatives; yellow belt qualification required.
• Ensure health and safety training, checks and records are up to date.
• Communicate with DC managers and support shift manager coverage.
• Rotate roles, manage attendance and annual leave records accurately.
• Role model Clarks values and maintain a safe, productive environment.
