Job summary

Clarks Distribution Centre in Street, Somerset seeks an experienced DC Manager to lead and develop a team of operatives, ensuring KPI achievement within a strong safety culture. You will drive performance reviews, train staff, and implement Six Sigma initiatives across the operation.

The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication with peers, union engagement when needed, and a focus on continuous improvement and shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Apprenticeship completed.
• IOSH trained in health & safety processes.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualification held.
• Experience leading a DC team and delivering KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of DC operatives to meet KPI and commercial targets in a safe culture-led environment.
• Review performance and develop personal development plans, including Academy Level 3 qualification.
• Manage Employee Relations per Company Policies and Procedures and engage with Union when applicable.
• Drive Six Sigma initiatives to meet DC objectives; ensure Yellow Belt standards are met.
