Job summary

South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a registered Mental Health Professional to join as a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) practitioner in a complex needs service serving Kingston and Richmond boroughs.

Fixed earmarked training funding supports DBT training for the post holder; a Band 6 appointment is possible for non-DBT trained professionals while they train and gain supervision.

Qualifications

• Core Mental Health Profession registration and eligible/licensed status.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification with supervised psychotherapeutic training.
• Formal training and experience in DBT (intensive/upgrade).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessments using integrated data and structured interviews.
• Formulate and implement formal psychological treatments.
• Deliver and coordinate MBT/DBT-based interventions.
• Contribute to risk assessment and risk management for clients.
• Act as care coordinator within enhanced CPA and prepare CPA reports.
