Job summary

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a DBT psychologist/therapist to lead a comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy programme in the Harrogate area. The role involves pre-treatment engagement, individual DBT therapy, skills training, and inter-session coaching.

Applicants may be considered for trainee roles at band 6 if accreditation at band 7 is not yet achieved. They should hold RMN or equivalent qualifications, be registered with a professional body, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Experience delivering psychologically informed interventions to people with severe mental health problems.
• Registered and eligible for accreditation in relevant professional body.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive DBT programme including pre-treatment, individual therapy and skills training.
• Provide inter-session telephone coaching and crisis intervention as needed.
• Engage in leadership, supervision and governance activities, including service evaluation and audits.
• Collaborate in MDT meetings and provide specialist guidance and training.
