Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Relief Officer to maintain safe, secure and welcoming environments across multiple court sites around Reading. You will manage access control, monitor activity and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across a defined radius of sites. A valid SIA Licence, enhanced DBS, BS7858 clearance and UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Licence and pass BS7858 screening.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Right to Work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle may be required.
• Ability to work across multiple sites within a defined radius.

Responsibilities

• Control access to buildings and follow security procedures.
• Operate CCTV, x-ray and handheld metal detectors.
• Patrol public and restricted areas and report incidents.
• Respond to alarms and security concerns promptly.
• Provide welcoming, professional service to court users.
• Accurately record incidents and liaise with control points.
