Job summary

Evri Group is hiring a Day Shift Manager in Maidstone to lead the day operation at MaidstoneDepot. You will manage a mixed team of Warehouse Operatives, Parcel Shop staff and drivers to ensure smooth shift performance.

The role starts around midday and requires flexibility to cover 5 days over 7. You should motivate staff, prioritise pressing needs, drive projects and maintain HSES compliance while delivering against SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic BI reporting.
• Understanding of transport regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of direct reports and up to 50 indirect reports providing leadership and direction for the shift.
• Develop and train reports and ensure SLA’s are hit for the Day shift.
• Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations.
• Generate and process BI and MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

OurDay Shift Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the Day operation in our MaidstoneDepotwhere you will manage a mixed team of Warehouse Operatives, Parcel Shop and Cat C Drivers.

Our Day Shift typically starts around midday working any 5 days over 7 with full flexibility required to cover the operation.

OurDay ShiftManagerjob is for someone who understands how to motivate staff and can efficiently prioritise pressing needs, where there isn’t an obvious solution. Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit as would logistics experience, but we are open to experience gained in other related fields. You must be able to work collaboratively and take the lead on projects amongst your peers.

• PCLiterate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Experienced of working in fast-paced logistics
• Anunderstanding of Transport regulations
• Goodcommunicator and able to liaise at all levels
